This is actually the Arrow (one of my favorite subjects) up against one of the many monster container vessels that pass though the mouth of the Columbia every day.

    Uncanny! This is precisely the same image (same boats, same perspective) that I see and admire every Sunday in a photograph by Sue Olsen, whose booth at Astoria Sunday Market is across from mine.

    uncanny is right!! I know Sue and Jerry. Great photographers!I saw sue's photo at the market and was inspired to run home and paint this!! I love those columbia river ships.
