HAWKS FEATHER

6"x8" Acrylic on Masonite Panel...$100

This is a Harrier Hawk feather. Lots of them (hawks) around our house. Every year they make a nest out in the dune grass and lay eggs. In the past I've watched to see where they make the nest and then sneak out there to see the chicks. The parents can get really aggressive and swoop with talons extended trying to drive away anyone getting too close to the nest... unnerving!
The pot is one we bought locally years ago.... the bottom says Roger but I can't remember who the artist is.
