MORNING AT THE ROCK

This is Tillamook Rock Lighthouse. It was decommissioned back in the late 50's so her light no longer shines. Replaced by  a lightship and then later by a buoy she stands silently still. From our window I can see it in the far distance a mile or two out at sea. I've flown over it to take pictures and taken photos from shore but  I've never actually gotten this close to it. A fisherman friend of mine gave me a couple nice shots though.

    Very nice painting, Brian. I love the blues and the colors you used for the rock make it all very interesting.
